Steps to Admissions
1. Schedule a Prospective Parent Meeting
All families must attend a Prospective Parent Meeting before enrollment. Call (972) 712-8080 or visit our Eventbrite page to schedule now! We offer Prospective Parent Meetings on Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m. and Thursdays at 1:15 p.m. Families who are interested in our Toddler program are requested to attend Tuesday mornings. This is the best time to observe Montessori work time in the Toddler environment.
During the Prospective Parent Meeting, you will have the opportunity to meet some of our Administrative Team, learn about the history and values of the school, receive detailed information about the programs we offer and participate in a tour of the campus.
We request both parents and child attendance at the meeting. We must meet each child before being able to offer enrollment. Please make sure any adults attending the tour bring a valid driver’s license with them. Any adults who do not bring a valid driver’s license will not be granted access to the school. Security is very important to us.
2. Class Visit
After you have attended a Prospective Parent Meeting, we ask that all students ages 5 and older participate in a class visit. This gives us an opportunity to make sure the Montessori environment is a match for your child. This will be scheduled directly with a member of our Admissions Team.
Once the class visit has been completed, the Admissions Team will determine if enrollment will be offered. In viewing prospective students, we always strive to ensure that the family’s and school’s core values, goals, and expectations of the child are the same. Siblings of currently enrolled students are given priority, followed by students who have previously been in a Montessori environment.
Once enrollment is offered, families will have 48 hours to accept the placement. In order to secure placement, the school must receive a signed Tuition Agreement and a non-refundable enrollment fee must be paid. Families must also create an account with our online tuition management program, FACTS, and create a payment plan for the school year they are enrolling for.
Starwood Montessori School will continue to accept enrollments throughout the year if spaces are available.
Students who have completed the Admissions process and have been accepted when our programs are full, will be placed on our wait list. We must have a signed Tuition Agreement for a child to be secured on the wait list.
Families will be notified when a place becomes available and will have 48 hours to accept by creating an account with our online tuition management program, FACTS, and by setting up a payment plan for the school year they are enrolling for. If a family does not accept within 48 hours, the placement will be offered to the next person on the wait list.
