The city of Frisco developed as the Dallas area was being settled and travelers
explored the area on the Preston Trail. As the construction of the St.
Louis-San Francisco Railway brought more traffic through the region, a
community grew on the site of present-day Frisco, which gained its name
from the railway.
Frisco has been voted as one of the best places to live in the United States,
and it received the designation of Tree City, USA in 2003 thanks to its
plentiful foliage and natural landscapes. Many professionals working in
the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex call Frisco home, as it is one of the most
desirable suburban cities in the region.
