Between the ages of 18 months – 3 years old, children are eager and ready to learn. Starwood Montessori School provides an age-appropriate education for toddlers to promote a gentle transition into our Primary Program. Using tools and lessons from the Montessori Method, toddlers in our program will have a great head start in their education as they learn to move, think, and discover new information independently. We have a warm and welcoming environment with teachers who are ready to provide guidance and support but our students are also widely encouraged to be the leader of their education, even at a young age.
Parents may choose from two, three, or five-day schedules for toddlers with either half or full days. Regardless of the program chosen, parents can expect a curriculum that improves concentration, coordination, and a sense of order while children develop their independence.
Montessori Curriculum for Toddlers
In addition to Sensorial and Practical Life materials, which encourage concentration and coordination, children in our Toddler Program enjoy a dynamic curriculum to build foundational skills while embracing their natural curiosity and high energy. The Toddler classroom allows students to move freely between lessons and work at his or her own pace.
If you are considering a Montessori education for your child, an early start can be integral in his or her success throughout their Elementary and Middle School years. To schedule a tour of Starwood Montessori School and see what happens in our classrooms, call us at (972) 712-8080.
